We are an all volunteer organization, locally run and funded. We depend on our community to support our mission to provide scholarships to deserving high school graduates.
Your gift to Dollars for Scholars is a charitable contribution. Dollars for Scholars is a Section 501(c)(3) Corporation (Federal EIN 46-5036492). For tax purposes, no goods or services were provided in exchange for contributions.
Renewable Scholarship Fund:
Donations to our Renewable Scholarship Fund will be applied to our two year $2,500 and four year $10,000 scholarships. Any level of funding is accepted.
Sponsored Scholarships:
Donor restricted Sponsored Scholarship Awards require a minimum of $1000 deposited with Stamford Dollars for Scholars. A scholarship will be awarded in the following year. The donation can exceed the award amount resulting in a balance that can be applied in subsequent years. Additional gifts of any amount may be added to the gift balance at any time. Donor restricted Sponsored Scholarship Awards sponsors will sign a letter of agreement with Stamford Dollars for Scholars. Stamford Dollars for Scholars will make every reasonable effort to ensure that the scholarship's criteria be met.
Endowment Award requirements:
Donor restricted Endowed Scholarship Awards require a minimum of $25,000 deposited with Stamford Dollars for Scholars. This amount will generate sufficient income to allow at least one scholarship to be awarded annually. Income for scholarships must be at least $1,000. Additional gifts of any amount may be added to the principal gift at any time. Such gifts will earn interest immediately upon deposit. Individuals wishing to establish a donor restricted endowment will sign a letter of agreement with Stamford Dollars for Scholars. Stamford Dollars for Scholars will make every reasonable effort to ensure that the scholarship's criteria be met.
